Felicity: The summer has been and gone, daily rhythms and routines are kicking in and we're looking forward to being back in your earbuds with season 15 of Two Sisters and a Cup of Tea. Whilst last season saw a flurry of guests, this season we're back to Sarah and I, Felicity, two sisters on either side of the Atlantic chatting through the Bible and driving it to the heart together with the hope and prayer that we can encourage you to grab a friend and do the same.
This season we're taking a deep dive into 1 Kings chapters 1 through 11. It's all about King Solomon. But as we walk with this wise, sometimes good, sometimes not so good king, the one who came after David, what we're gonna see is that it's really all about Jesus, the better king, the perfect king.
Sarah: But hold on, hear you say. Why do we need to trawl back through history and encounter these other kings if Jesus is all we need? Or maybe you're wondering why there's so much focus on Solomon's life rather than any of the other kings that pop up in one and two kings. Or how about that crucial question of how all of this, way back in history, applies to me and my everyday life now? Well, we're glad you asked and we'd love you to come along on the journey with us as we explore some of the answers to these important questions.
